South Asian Youth Summit on Climate Change - SAYSoCC Sri Lanka

The organising process started a few months ago with a few individuals who were motivated enough to contribute. Today the word is spreading and the contribution to the organising is in full swing.
Youth across the South Asian region are showing their interest in being part of the 2nd youth summit of its kind hosted by the Sri Lankan Youth Climate Action Network (SLYCAN). This is a follow up of the summit that took place in Dulikel, Nepal in 2009.
The youth are keen in participating as the event would allow them to share experiences in the field of combating climate change as well as being part of the South Asian Youth Delegation to COP 16.
The closing date for application is the 10th of August while the Sri Lankan youth will be allowed an extended application deadline.
This is a call to those who are interested but have not still applied to join the motivated group of individuals and to be part of an event that is destined to empower youth across the region in voicing their voices and taking action to make a change that counts.
